24 Jan 2010	NVA will be attending Model-Ex on 10th & 11th April 2010 - All members are asked to attend and take models along. This is a good opportunity to promote the club and recruit new members. Please contact Dave Harbour for more details.
14 Dec 09	Dates for committee meetings during 2010 will be:- 11 Jan - 8 Feb - 8 Mar - 12 Apr - 10 May - 14 Jun (28 Jun pre- Northants Country Fair meeting) - 12 Jul - 9 Aug - 13 Sep - 10 Oct - 8 Nov - 7 Dec (AGM - provisional date).
13 Sep 09	Fun-Fly for IC fixed wing models was held on Sunday 13 September 2009 - see the gallery for more pictures
8 Dec 09	The 2009 AGM was held at the Aviator Hotel Sywell on Tuesday 8th Dec 2009. The main points were: The current committee will remain unchanged for 2010. for 2010 the club fees are being increased by £2 and BMFA fees will be increased by £! for senior and over-60 membership - see the 2010 membership form for details.
16 Aug 09	Thanks to all the Northampton MAC club members who attended as guests of NVA on 16 Aug 09. Unfortunately at times there were more Northamption members than NVA members - maybe because of the holiday season - we will pick a better day next time.
8 Aug 09	The helicopter fun-fly took place on 8 Aug 09 and was well attended. Lots of good comments received especially for Mark Chaplin's organization of the event. Let's hope this becomes an annual event. See the 2009 gallery for pictures.

5 Jul 09	NVA's appearance at the Castle Ashby Country Fair on 5 July was great success - see the pictures in the gallery

7 April 09	A fun-fly competition is scheduled for Sunday 13 September 2009. As before the competition is open to all members with an "A" certificate. IMPORTANT NOTE: On the day, open flying will be limited. The competition organisor is Dave Harbour, so give Dave a call if you have any questions. 9 March 2009	The committee have decided that NVA will be attending the Castle Ashby Country Fair this year. It is on Sunday 5 July. Any member can come along with a model (or models) for the static display. Fixed wing or heli flyers with a "B" certificate are encoursaged to take part in the flying display. Participants should advise the webmaster of their intention to fly so we can assess the number of gate passes required. A fun-fly competition will be held some time during the year - date to be advised.

10 Dec 2008	The AGM was held at the Aviator Hotel Sywell on Tuesday 9th Dec 2008. The main points were: The current committee will remain unchanged for 2009 with one additional member; Alan Smedley. Club and BMFA fees will remain unchanged for 2009 however, new members joining late in the year will receive a concession - details to follow.
15 March 2008	The Tiger Moth Club of Great Britain will be holding a 2 day meeting in June at RAF Halton. It appears that there will also be a number of "fly-pasts". This event has been held at Woburn in the past. For more information visit http://www.raf.mod.uk/rafhalton/events/
31 Dec 2007	Club members appear in December 2007 edition of the "BMFA News" Congratulations to Jessica Bridgman as she receives her "A" certificate from Bert Smith and Dave Harbour.
10 Dec 2007	The NVA AGM was held at 8 pm on Wednesday 5 Dec 2007 at the Aviator Hotel Sywell. At this meeting Guy Bowden resigned as treasurer and Ash Shaw was elected as the treasurer for 2008. Guy had held the position of treasurer for 5 years and had done an excellent job. Guy will remain a member of the NVA committee. Spot Landing: 1st Richard Bridgman 13 mtrs, 2nd Alan Smedley 14 mtrs, 3rd Dave Harbour 15 mtrs, 4th Mick Addington 18 mtrs, 5th John Morse - retired (up a tree).

30 May 2007	IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL USERS OF CHANNEL 66 An independent flyer in the Yardley Hastings area is using channel 66 - All members are advised not to use this channel until further notice. We have had 2 models shot down recently.
14 May 2007	Vote of thanks! It was noted at a recent NVA committee meeting that a number of people attended Model-Ex 2007 that was held on 31 March and 1 April 2007 at the Windmill Primary School in Raunds. Sincere thanks to those people for representing the club at this event!
14 May 2007	The fun-fly competition scheduled for 13 May did not go ahead due to inclement weather. It will now be held at the Olney flying field on Sunday 3 June 2007. As before the competition is open to all members with an "A" certificate. IMPORTANT NOTE: On the day, open flying will be limited to a 30-45 minute period, sometime around midday. 10 March 2007	USE OF FAILSAFE ON PCM AND 2.4GHz TRANSMITTERS It was recently published in the BMFA newsletter that a new regulation is in force. The regulation stipulates that if you have a failsafe facility on your radio you MUST have it enabled and that in the event of the loss of communication, the engine speed falls to idle or is stopped. As a BMFA affiliated club the committee request that all members comply with this regulation. Not doing so may invalidate your insurance.
9 March 2007	NVA will be attending the Castle Ashby Fair on 8th July 2007. As well as a static display we hope to fly this year and are hoping for better weather conditions than we had in 2006 (see Gallery on the website!) All members are welcome to attend and all those with a "B" certificate will be eligible to fly. More details will follow but please put this date in your diary if possible.
